Sobre mí
Hi, I'm Diana!

I want to tell you about Artes Trece, but in order to do that, I have to start telling you the beginning of my story.
This story I shaped, but my mother gave it form. She was one of those people who didn't go unnoticed through life. She talked to everyone, wanted to help everyone, and had a spark, a certain something that drew a lot of attention. Her creativity was overflowing; I remember her staying up late at night designing her own clothes, jewelry, even her perfume. She was the most original person I've ever known. That creativity running through her veins allowed her to overcome every obstacle and problem.
I have had many key moments in my life, but two of them have triggered something within my inner self that has led me to the need for a change.
One of them was when I lost my mother; a terrible illness took her away. My world suddenly changed, everything lost its meaning, everything transformed. But with time, I understood that she would never truly disappear; her essence would always be within me. Gradually, it made me more connected to the present and taught me to understand what is truly important to me—being connected to the world, to people, to the earth.
A few years later, I was diagnosed with a serious illness. And something in my brain clicked again. I needed a change, I needed to follow my instincts, and they were telling me that I had to fight for what I believe in.
And what is that in which I believe?
In a better world, more sustainable, more humane, more connected. Where we look out for each other and where we think about our environment, about what surrounds us, and want to be a part of it. To adapt and not to destroy it.
This change in my mindset led me to leave my job. I had been a store manager for a large company from which I gained a lot of learning and knowledge. At the age of 18, I had dropped out of art school to start working. I resumed my studies, focusing on business, marketing, drawing, and woodworking. During these years of studying, I have met wonderful people who have taught me a lot and allowed me to glimpse a piece of their lives. I will be eternally grateful.
Finally, I ended up founding the company Artes Trece, where I prioritize the creation of works using manual tools, sustainable, and ecological materials. I blend all of this with illustrations that speak about nature, about the life that surrounds us. Plants, animals, insects... With all of this, I aim to bring a piece of that environment into our homes, that light, that harmony, to remind us of how wonderful our world can be when viewed in the right light.
Thank you very much for having come this far and for wanting to be part of this community.
